Time to get some new recommendations from our Lund insiders! This week we met Thomas, a philosophy student from Helsingborg. He gives us some tips about what is worth to be seen in the close sourroundings of Lund.
Kanelbullar (cinnamon rolls) are one of the most delicious and probably most famous traditional buns in Sweden and for sure you have already heard of them or even tried them somewhere, like at St. Jakobs Stenugnsbageri here in Lund, who have, in our opinion, the best Kanelbullar in town.
However, if you are as crazy about those delicious buns as we are or if you have Fika regularly, which often includes these tasty little fellows, it might become quite expensive if you always buy them at a bakery. Therefore, we want to share a traditional Kanelbullar recipe with you… So get your cinnamon and flour and let’s go!
Last weekend I was lucky enough to have dinner at M.E.A.T.! It’s a steak house in the city centre of Lund and since I walked by there the very first time I wanted to try it. Now I did and it was really great and so delicious!
And so do we!
In Sweden, second hand is quite a big thing compared to some other countries. I personally love to browse around in the second hand stores Lund has to offer. Of course in such an international student’s city, there is a need for individualistic and also a bit cheaper things. And since there is quite some fluctuation of international students who don’t take their stuff back home, the second hand stores always have nice and useful offers.
So, today we want to present you some really great second hand stores here in Lund where you can find different things - may it be clothes, furniture or other everyday and unique stuff.

Today we went out for Lunch again! This time we tried the sandwiches at Widerbergs Kött & Charkuteriaffär, which some friends highly recommended to us.
Widerbergs is a butcher close to Lunds stadsbibliotek. Besides meat and cold cuts, they offer sandwiches and bagels at lunchtime. And according to our impression it is a popular place for grabbing some decent food around noon, as it was a bit crowded, when we came there. So, don’t go there too late, if you want to have the full selection.
Although we knew it before, now it’s official! We can call ourselves proudly citizens of the best place to live in Sweden!

Many people like grabbing their coffee or drinking their coffee at the big coffee chains like Espresso House, but we think that by visiting the cute little cafes with their nice atmosphere here in Lund you get to know Lund much better and you will experience Lund on a much more personal basis. Today we want to introduce anoter lovely café in Lund.
Invite some friends and surprise them with our great dessert tip. It is our own creation and we named it “hallon dröm” – very creative, hhm? It is absolutely delicious and easy to prepare.
