10 Things to do on a Bad Weather Day in Lund

Especially now in the grey and rainy winter time, but also on any other bad-weather day it is depressing to just sit at home and do nothing but watching TV. Lund and its surrounding cities have much to offer – so go out and even make out of a rainy and stormy day something special.
Here are 10 things we thought about you can do on a bad weather day:
- Go to the SF Bio cinema between Botulfsplatsen and Mårtenstorget and watch one of the current movies. The tickets are around SEK 100 and can be reserved online.
- Make a baking day with your friends and bake yummy cinnamon rolls or cakes which will make your mood much brighter right away. Some recipes will follow soon…
- Rent a movie at one of the three Hemmakväll video stores in Lund.
- Go shopping or watch people while having a coffee or snack at Nova Lund. You can go there even on Sundays and reach it by taking bus number 5 (Stop: Företagsvägen or Brandstationen).
- Have Fika - the traditional Swedish coffee break - in one of the many coffee houses. One of our favorites in Lund is St. Jacobs Stenugnsbageri!
- Be creative and turn trash into treasure… Since Sweden is extremely expensive and it is sometimes difficult to afford decoration to make your room nice and cosy, we love to make our own stuff – see our first tutorials on ‘how to…’!
- Spend your day at the gym in Gerdahallen– where you can set free endorphins in their many courses from Afro to Zumba or at the machines – this blows away your bad mood at once. Or try one of the typical Gympa classes. It is really fun and exhausting!
- Go to one of the nations and take part in one of their many activities – from brunch to party – find more information here.
- Go to the Ystad spa and relax while enjoying one of their treatments. Here you can get everything – from dying your lashes for 100 SEK, use the Jacuzzi for 250 SEK, get a relaxing massage for around 500 SEK or take a ‘kurbad’ (even for two ;-)).
- You can also go indoor-swimming, for example at the Delphinenbadet in Lund (Magistratsvägen 59) or you make a short ride to Malmö where they offer several public swimming pools.
We hope this is inspiring! And always have in mind: spring is approaching soon!
