Springtime- Time to travel! Where and how?

Springtime is the best time to travel especially for a city trip. And there are so many places to explore! So we thought we will help you a little bit to organize everything. We listed some ideas on where to go and how to get there for a reasonable price.

Berlin

The capital of Germany has a lot to offer with its famous landmarks such as the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie and what’s left of the Berlin Wall. But it is also known for its vibrant night life. Here you can find everything from super posh to underground clubs with a run – down charme. Compared to Sweden, Berlin is a paradise for those who like to go eating out in a restaurant or have a cocktail night. The whole bill there will be what you pay for a starter in Sweden ;).

How to get there:

If you go by train you should search on Deutsch Bahn. If you book early enough it will only cost you about 350 SEK. With the Swedish SJ it will be about 500 SEK. Veolia offers a student ticket for 599 SEK for the route Malmö – Berlin, but only between 30th of march and the 7th of October. If you book early, a flight from Copenhagen might also be a good alternative, especially as it only takes one hour. If you don’t mind that it takes a little you can also take the overnight bus (e.g. Eurobus,) It costs ca. 960 SEK including the return.

Oslo

Norway’s capital is an easy-going and lovely  place. It offers the perfect size for exploring it on foot. Something you should definitely not miss to see is the glacier-white opera house and Oslos most famous landmark - the townhall with its two towers.  A tour around the city doesn’t take too long so there will be enough time for you to get to know the café and bar culture at Aker Brygge right along the Fjord. A small drawback: Oslo serves the most expensive beer in Europe.

How to get there:

There is a ferry from Copenhagen that offers a Minicruise. It costs only 249 SEK for 2 persons! You have 7 hours to see the city before the boat leaves again.

Skåne

Why travel far? Have you already explored the Skåne region? Or maybe you have some friends over and want to show them around. With the “Around the sound ticket“  for two days you can see as much as you want! I recently did a tour starting in Helsingborg. There we took the ferry to Helsingör a small city already on the Danish side of the Oresund. I recommend you  to visit the Kronborg castle, it was really nice.  You can also got to Kristianstad, Ystad and Malmö of course…If you want to enjoy the first sunrays close to the cost you should go to Kullaberg (check Tips here).

How to get there:

The “Around the sound ticket “ costs 249 SEK for two days. You can use everything –bus, train, ferry, metro etc. But check the special conditions here.
